Textures and Folly design used in the Final submisson

Folly design

I chose this Folly design to suit the already created folly in the valley of my choosing. I decided to continue the religious aspect brought by the shrine seen in the valley. As such I did this by creating a Folly inspired by "The Church of The Light" by Tadao Ando with the concept being "Light is more". This is done by the f's casting through the light through the space created within the solid matter forming a cross.

Final Sketch Up Model

For this final assignment I showed my heritage in the placement and design of my project. I placed my project nearby a village called the Cedars in Lebanon.

As seen by the image a small shrine is constructed within the landscape as such a religious allusion is created by it. To uphold this integrity placed a religious suggestive folly in my project. I have represented my heritage through design through the placement of the Cedar tree, for this tree is not only a religious symbol of knowledge but a motif of strength of the inhabitants of the country also it gives a tribute to the nearby village and villagers from the Cedars. The Elevator is a triangular prism which opens fully as a plan of an triangular prism and closes again once the person has entered it.  The bridge in my project connects the structure to the environment to show the hand of God in a way to further this religious motif made in the project draft designs of this bridge is seen in the previous posts. The link to my assignment in Sketchup is below alongside some images of it.
